Bootjes.nl originated from a passion for water sports and a series of circumstances.
The driving force behind Bootjes.nl is Paul Visser. Paul is an entrepreneur at heart. In 1993, Paul founded the company MultiGift Relatiegeschenken BV. In 2019, an opportunity arose to transfer the company to a new owner. To this day, Paul remains involved as a shareholder and advisor to the new owner of MultiGift.
In 2018, Paul bought a small boat for his kids via a Dutch online marketplace. It was a SummerFun 365 and a great success. However, to Paul's surprise, he saw this fun boat little on the Dutch waters.
In 2021, the opportunity arose to buy a new building by the water in Sassenheim. There, all the pieces of the puzzle fell into place. Water and boats, something had to be done with that. Bootjes.nl was still available and became the trade name under MaxiTrading BV. This marked a new chapter in Paul's entrepreneurial career.
In mid-2022, Paul took the bold step of contacting various boat manufacturers, including the Norwegian manufacturer of the Summer Fun 365. Contact was also made with suppliers of outboard motors. In addition, a Dutch trailer manufacturer was commissioned to build a custom trailer for small boats up to 4 meter.
Meanwhile, the Summer Fun boats, trailers, and outboard motors are in stock in Sassenheim. Since the launch of Bootjes.nl, a lot has happened. We derive a lot of extra energy every day from the enthusiastic responses of customers and suppliers.
